Pros
Friendly team and lots of interesting work. You get quite a lot of freedom to manage your work and try new techniques. They are always open to change and don't mind if stuff you try doesn't always work out. It's all a learning experience. I like that Angel is trying to develop products that make a real difference to people by making teachers and school leader's lives easier. Yes, we need to sell and make a profit, but that's not the main focus of the company. They want to help people.
Cons
Sometimes there's a lack of direction or 'push' because there's so much freedom for people to self-manage or manage in very small teams. That means sometimes the decision-making process can feel unclear or slow. The innovation days have been lacking lately. It's hard to say why exactly, but they seem to have lost some of their energy and excitement. I'm confident they'll get back on track soon though.
