Struggling for marketing solutions. Great with numbers, not so with people or managing established brands. - Anonymous employee Anheuser-Busch InBev Employee Review

Pros

People are great...in spite of all the pressure they face on a daily basis. Beer can be a great, fun business! Opportunities for upper management exposure are available. Great place to start, hit the ground running and then move on to a better workplace. External perception of ABI is high, so it is a great resume builder.

Cons

Long hours are pretty much the norm, 65-70 hours a week. It dilutes compensation pretty quick. Managers are known to send emails after 8PM expecting a report or presentation for first thing in the AM. Very high marketing turnover. Company manages to lose or dismiss great people with fantastic ease. Low morale. Bonuses are never given at face value. New, inexperienced MBAs are being hired to replace experienced managers. Pretty unfair to them and to the entire system. Company needs both. Upper management struggles to find a solution to declining sales for leading brands - Budweiser and Bud Light. Current marketing VP is bright, but has no previous experience in the US market...and it is showing; and everyone is paying for it. Constant shifting of direction around big decisions. During October high-end beer team was going to Chicago and during December is everyone going to NYC. Seems like the vast majority of those promoted at the very top must have a link to Brazil or to Belgium.
