Pros
- There are some really good, well-meaning people who have been hired over the years. - Employee discount at VCA hospitals, but you have to go to VCA hospitals which aren't always the best
Cons
During my almost 2 years at Antech, I was privy to some of the most disgusting, unprofessional conversations that I have ever experienced. There is a motto that is muttered behind closed doors by all levels of upper management that "everyone is replaceable". The amount of disregard for employees is astounding, and employees are treated in a game-like manner where people see how much stress someone can handle before breaking or getting fired. Backstabbing other employees is encouraged, and those that give bad reports on how other employees are performing are the ones who have stuck around this company for in excess of 5 years. Personally, I have witnessed multiple forms for harassment and also been on the receiving end of harassment and name calling, and when brought to the attention of HR, nothing was done. Employees across all levels are unable to maintain a work/life balance due to crippling staffing shortages and lack of a consistent schedule. Morale is lower than low, and instead of offering employees a wage that they can live on, there is a giant "slush fund" for team building activities.
