Pros

- Good for beginner teachers; you'll get observations, feedbacks, colleagues that might you learn from. - There's HR in the company; not super fast, but they get the job done. - Member of IH; you get can discount for their online courses and get extra certificates %20 I think. - High turnover, So you might get promoted if you are a " yes man". - You used to get in Apollo for professional development. - You'll get accepted regardless of your nationality by the academic staff.

Cons

- Increasing marketing demands, keeping students happy is more important than having meaningful lessons or keeping teacher content with the company. - Numbers and numbers. - 11.5 month contract for some reason. - High turnover, people get promoted but question if it's worth it after a short while. - You used to get in Apollo for professional development, not for the salary. - There's soft nativism going on; academic managers care about how good teacher you are, but the center managers run the center and they will care if you are native or not. - Basically, current Apollo is nothing special; little bit more organized than your basic language center but doesn't actually live up to it's size or name.

Pros

Easy to get into if you're white or Filipino. The kids are more mature and speak better English than the administration!

Cons

Lower and lower pay because of online classes, not enough TAs, too much administrative work for no pay. They should be getting a bot for all this grading.

Pros

Offer continuing education and access to teaching resources

Cons

Terrible mismanagement of the COVID crisis, enjoyed making tone-deaf corporate videos that were supposed to encourage staff. Like most language centers in Vietnam, money is king at the end of the day and supersedes everything. About every week a new policy is enacted that you will be required to follow. Enjoy being threatened with write-ups and bonus reduction! Also, the pay at Apollo is far below the standard in Hanoi. They say it’s because of the benefits, but other reputable centers also have these benefits but pay more.
