1. There is an overt focus on internal ways of working (granted they are fairly sound). While that has led to success in the past the general athlete talent philosophy could be restrictive from a functional preparedness standpoint especially for higher order roles where thought leadership is expected.
2. Work life balance has been an issue on most times given the quantum of work. However, of late , staffing has significantly improved to cater to the function's charter.
3. Decision making is overly consensus driven. Hampers execution speed at times especially for those executing. However , I have seen improvements in this area of late.
4.Some times the management practices that we espouse are overused with every small decision requiring narratives et al. Some of them should be solved over a 30 minute conversation.
