- The CEO has surrounded himself with a closed coterie of people who are mostly incompetent/have no vision but being close to the CEO not only survive but thrive. This coterie tries to "anticipate" what the CEO's thoughts are and align themselves to that thinking. - It's a yes culture. No room for differing viewpoints/thoughts/opinions. - A LOT of sales people as the company thinks the more feet you have on the ground, the better. Quantity over quality. Most sales reps are a tactical bunch with inflated egos.
