During my time as a Management Associate with Apple Bank, I encountered significant challenges that impacted my experience with the organization. Unfortunately, I felt that the role lacked the support and guidance necessary for professional growth. The environment seemed to prioritize compliance and task execution over fostering development or addressing employee concerns. When I raised concerns regarding instances of racial bias from clients, I was disappointed to find that these issues were not addressed effectively. Instead, I felt my concerns were dismissed, leaving me unsupported in navigating such situations. Additionally, after voicing these concerns, I experienced reassignment to branches that significantly extended my commute, which added undue strain to my role. The culture within the organization seemed to discourage open communication about aspirations or concerns. Collaboration and mutual support among colleagues appeared secondary to individual advancement. This environment made it difficult to feel genuinely supported or valued as a team member. For those pursuing this role, I recommend focusing on completing the program while remaining adaptable. After graduating Seek aligning with a manager who supports career growth and development could make a significant difference in one’s experience within the organization.
