Pros
they will probably find you a job and when you come into the office they will be very friendly and tell you that they have many temp-to-hire positions
Cons
Once they get you an assignment they will NEVER return your phone call. they will not tell you if a temp-to-hire position will become permanent or if you are about to get laid off. If you have a rep no one else in the office will talk to you, you have to speak with your rep or you're out of luck. I know of four people at my former assignment that don't have reps because they keep quitting or get fire. I had to call and email 2 different offices and wait 2 months just to update my w-2 info. When I was told I would not get paid for one week, the front desk girl started yelling at me to claim down when I asked, "who do I speak with about payroll if the account person is on vacation?" A manager at the company actually told me to apply with a DIFFERENT staffing agency. WORST of all, I was distinctly told that after a certain number of work hours I would be eligible for benefits, including paid holidays and health insurance. But when i met the requirements, I was told that was never a company policy and that I misunderstood what my rep told me
