Pros
Met a few great people
Cons
I would not recommend working at Appletree Staffing. There are a few great people, but the company itself is toxic. They act like they are the best company ever and no one can touch them, handing out childish rewards to make employees feel “recognized,” but it’s all superficial. They make it seem flexible and like a great place to work, but it’s not. The environment is not just heavily micromanaged, it’s nano-managed, with leadership scrutinizing every tiny detail. No matter how well you perform, it’s never enough. You’re treated like a number, with daily metrics sent to everyone highlighted in red or green. The company is chaotic: some teams have 1–3 jobs, while others have 10–15+, making workloads uneven and frustrating. You’re blamed if candidates quit or make decisions we can’t control, even though we’re told not to sweat things outside our control. There are multiple meetings every week that feel like a waste of time, and management is constantly on your back. Communication is poor, and talking to coworkers is discouraged. Work-from-home rules are inconsistent: you’re expected to work after hours, even if its not an emergency with kids home, but not allowed to stay home if your kids are sick or pets make noise. Leadership can be judgmental. Recruiter turnover is high, and the expectations for candidates in entry-level roles are completely unrealistic. There are good people there, but overall, this is not a healthy or supportive workplace. If you value your sanity and mental health, look elsewhere. AppleTree Staffing needs to learn to TRUST their internal employees THEY choose to hire. Accept that things need to change in order for internal staff to stay and actually enjoy their job.
