Pros

Because it is a small company, AASC is a great place to get a wide range of manufacturing experience: CNC programming, composite manufacturing, metal bonding, prepreg layups, composite sandwhich manufacturing, you name it. 9-80 schedule is great. Day to day experience really depends on which part of the company you are placed (air vs space vs ground).

Cons

AASC pays significantly less than industry standard. Multiple employees, multiple times over, have recommended I get my 3-5 years of experience and move on to another aerospace manufacturing company. I have seen multiple young engineers follow this exact advice. Evidently, this pattern is nothing new, but rather has been occuring for the last 20-30 years.
