Pros

They are very good at talking. They excel at talking. "If you can't do, teach." The problem with that is you can find numerous folks just like them at a cheaper rate. They are good at churning out folks with certificates on staff. If you want a certificate factory this is a guaranteed outcome your money will purchase. They are good at using very expensive C-suite folks to teach tactical classes designed by a courseware vendor that have how-to videos for enablement. You don't need these expensive leaders to give classes tactical line folks give at their competition. You can't claim it is because you are better at this when you had a lay off and your competitors didn't.

Cons

Start doing, less teaching. Lean Portfolio Management ring a bell? All you seem to do is teach, not actually do. A profit framework that doesn't appear to be profitable. Would rush to enable trainers so they could have classes with one student in them and try to climb the SEO ladder of their courseware vendor. Were worried about less than a handful of people attending a conference for their courseware vendor where folks had to volunteer not to go since they weren't profitable. Hire friends of friends that are cheaper than currently onboarded staff so perhaps they could lay off others. A sales department that appears to ignore simple tools work revenue and would rather experience a lay off and have classes with one student in them. In my opinion, they chose some women to stay on staff at significantly lower rates and hours so they would be forced to quit themselves. Be equal. Lay off everyone equally, don't play games. Clam shell games with pay and funding is like cost center accounting. Lean Portfolio Management might be a class you might want to give yourself. They are good at not closing deals when they over hire. The hiring goal was for each employee to bring in 2 people. That's not sustainable especially when you aren't hiring folks to produce sales channels. Don't ask employees to use their personal social media identities to be your marketing department or sales channel. That isn't our role and is questionable at best.
