Pros
You know that feeling you get just before going back to work after a vacation or on Sunday night thinking about work the next day? Well, I haven't felt that in the 12 months I've worked at Appluent. As a marketing professional, creativity is key and it's something that needs a relaxed environment in order to thrive. I get that here. Everyone in the office makes fun of each other, no one has an agenda against another, and the support is there when you fall. The word "team" is thrown around a lot at companies but this really is a team/family atmosphere. I'm used to watching coworkers at other jobs allow their colleagues to fail so that they can look better. When I'm floundering at this job, I've got at least two people at any given moment willing to step in and help me; and I do the same for them. I'm given the freedom to try new things and even suggest things to change the direction of the company if I make a good enough case for it.
Cons
You're not a number and you can't hide; that can be a bad thing if you're the type that wants to put in just enough work to keep your job.
