We absolutely want our employees to build their long-term careers at April Six, and look after the personal development of all of our employees with training, annual appraisals and KPIs as part of that process. We have a new HR Director joining us in the next month to further develop this.
As with any services business, we work hard, but do not believe that should be at the expense of people’s personal lives, and have implemented mechanisms to ensure that people are supported and have clear ways of raising any concerns. We also want every person to be heard and valued equally – creativity is the lifeblood of our business, so we ensure there is an open platform to encourage the sharing ideas from across the business. Indeed, in an anonymous staff survey last year, 85% of our people said there is a culture of respect here.
