Pros

Instructors, kids, and middle management is usually pretty nice.

Cons

I cannot even begin to describe how much of a nightmare it is to work here. The initial interview gave me weird vibes with the hiring manager. They were very intense, always seemed to be looking for you to say the wrong thing, and just generally seemed very passive aggressive. They asked me what type of management I liked and I said supportive and trusting. Let me tell you, that is the exact opposite of what this company is. First off, they will micromanage everything you do. Any questions or clarification you ask, be prepared to get mixed answers or literally no clear answer at all. Everyone in power that works here answers questions like politicians do. I did my training and the first two weeks literally could have been an email and only one week of training. I was stuck on the pool deck standing for 6 hours a day just watching the instructors and kids. You will be used for cheap labor. The job offer online for the manager position says the salary is $25-29 an hour. Training is only $20 an hour and when you get the job part, be prepared to only be paid $23-24 at best. They upper management only cares about their customers (if that), and has no regard for their workers unless you are favored. Spoiler alert: there is major blatant favoritism here. Also, you are not allowed to make any kind of mistake whatsoever here unless you are favored. There were two people in my training group with me that showed up late for training my 45 minutes twice and were not reprimanded at all or received any type of consequences. But I was called into the office multiple times over me forgetting I had a training shift and ended up being only ~50 minutes late and was sent home for (and was later terminated for). The upper management will never be accountable and continously blame you for their shortcomings. There was a trainee in my group that showed up for his scheduled training twice which they did not have him in the schedule for. They can't even keep their schedule of training straight but will heavily reprimanded you if you mess your own schedule up once. If you work here, be prepared to be used, abused, micromanaged, blamed, and never be given a straight answer.
