Pros

Good benefits and work flexibility with time off, etc.

Cons

After the reorg almost 2 years ago, this company applies broad strategy and general goals to all departments rather than allowing for autonomy and individualism. Currently, all initiatives are based around building AI tools and focusing on DEI practices, rather than pushing for individual sales growth. It feels like we are just all cogs in a wheel with forced common directives that don't contribute to our personal success or commission - all while overall sales have drastically decreased. The company used to be great and allowed for smaller pods of teams to thrive and work as units that encouraged competition and stronger relationship building. This allowed employees to feel more connected to their work, empowered, and excited about working together to create unique strategies and increase sales.

Pros

Decent benefits, but Cigna insurance likes to take the cheap route on everything from MRIs to colonoscopies.

Cons

For "budgetary reasons," my contract work for an industrial automation company got "offshored" to Asia. After working on the same ongoing project for over six years, Aquent didn't respond to my application for work on other projects, and they completely cut me off from company email or anything else. In total, I had worked for them for more than 7.5 years, and this is the way they treat people?! Also, I never got a raise in that entire time. Actually, I went from being a fulltime employee to hourly talent when there was an earlier shortage of work.
