Pros

Connected to top tech companies.

Cons

Can't even count how many people I know who had contracts here for years but then were ghosted by the recruiters. What's up with that? Word is the recruiters are going for less experienced younger candidates in order to save money which is ageist! Friends and I had a few interviews in maybe three years, then ghosted. Never told if we got the job or didn't. Zero feedback. The candidate pool is huge now because they hire remotely. You'd think they'd show a little loyalty the local talent who helped bolsters their business all those years but why do that when you can get a cheaper hire from Nowheresville, Idaho, right? Recruiters send candidates out for jobs they aren't qualified for. I've spoken to hiring managers who get a pile of resumes with unqualified candidates or terrible fits.

Pros

Decent benefits, but Cigna insurance likes to take the cheap route on everything from MRIs to colonoscopies.

Cons

For "budgetary reasons," my contract work for an industrial automation company got "offshored" to Asia. After working on the same ongoing project for over six years, Aquent didn't respond to my application for work on other projects, and they completely cut me off from company email or anything else. In total, I had worked for them for more than 7.5 years, and this is the way they treat people?! Also, I never got a raise in that entire time. Actually, I went from being a fulltime employee to hourly talent when there was an earlier shortage of work.
