Pros
Some very dedicated, passionate and talented people (many have left though) Lots of colleagues who love outdoor activity Good deals on product and pro deals
Cons
1. Severe breaches of trust = toxic culture. Company leadership has deceived employees into accepting new contracts that waive rights to severance. They then used these contracts to complete layoffs and avoid legal responsibilities. Advice to anyone considering employment here is look carefully at the contract and consult a labour lawyer. The company has shown it will screw people if it can so be warned. 2. Highly unequal pay structure. Leadership and managers are paid very well (evidenced by the fleet of Range Rovers in the parking lot), while junior employees and production teams are paid less than living wages. 3. Leadership team (actually they just promoted themselves to become a C-suite) is now mostly Lululemon discards or US corporate. If you want to work for talented Lululemon people, go work for Lululemon (where they are still employed, and the pay will be better anyways) 4. Lack of moral backbone means layoffs are routinely used to increase profit to owners. 2020 and 2021 were both years of huge profit for Arc'teryx and in both years they completed layoffs of 5-10% of workforce to increase profit further - despite having asked employees to take pay cuts to help weather the pandemic.
