Conflicting messaging from top - “We need to win more work”, yet “You need executive-level approval to travel see a client” Continuous messaging showing staff traveling the globe with apparently no billable work to show for it. Measures implemented to improve financial performance feel more punitive than corrective. Example: Cancel company year-end parties in July. Top performers fight to get minimal raise in 2016. “Pay-for-performance” mantra abandoned without explanation.
