Pros

Employees are recognized in many ways for achievements.

Cons

After 11 years of being rated an excellent employee and receiving several awards and nothing negative in my file my wages were cut by $9,000 annually because they had trouble negotiating a contract without it being contested for three years. Employees cut, were paid a bonus to continue working the same job category so as to not disrupt the workforce. A take this offer or leave it was given. I was told to realize how fortunate I was that others no longer had a job. I earned my way to this position and should not have to feel like I am lucky to be able to continue. They have been careful to cover HR practices to cover themselves with statistics in this cut back not deliberate to age, sex, or gender. I was never told how they came to choose me after so faithfully serving them. Morale at this company is the lowest I have ever seen it.

Pros

Can be a fun either a fun Job or an Immediate realization, that you made a very bad decision. If you do not mind working with salty old ex-career military co-workers who think they are still serving and act accordingly, your golden. If youve never been around these people, it can take some adjustment.

Cons

No electronics depending upon where you work, if you work on the JT4 J-Tech II contract (which is a terrible contract). Arcata and JT4 work together, on this contract. Nepotism (wife and husband, mother and daughter) in many roles working in the same departments, to a degree so blantant, I have never seen or even heard of. Email Blasts/Reply All to companywide Email for announcments as trival as a BBQ party in a location hundreds of miles away - with nothing to do with you. If you travel - plan to pay for all expenses up front, out of your own pocket. You are then required to spell out exactly how you paid for your own travel amd any fees that Hotel chains typically charge. So yeah - be ready to pay your own way, if you travel for the company.
