The hotels are cool historic buildings. Some great people on the team that are really talented.

Pay is not great and comes with almost no flexibility. Ownership tries to control everything but no one knows what is going on half the time, and the people that do know what is going on have no ability to actually change anything. Never rewarded.... no lunches, no parties, not even a holiday party. And no annual bonuses even if they're in your contract they find a way to avoid you and not give them. Never any honest performance feedback or even reviews.

Amazing boutique properties that are extremely unique. There is lots and lots of potential for these hotels to be a huge success.

Complete and total mismanagement of people, culture, and processes. Ownership and upper management have zero hospitality experience and has NO understanding of the industry. As a result, they hire more like-minded management with equal inexperience. There is zero development opportunities here unless you make it for yourself. If you make a mistake, you will never be coached, only reprimanded. The treatment of people is an utter disgrace. Unless you like to be told what to do, by people who have zero experience or knowledge in your area, I would pass and move on.
