Pros

Nice people to work with

Cons

Weak facility management with revolving Administrators causes confusion and employee structure issue. Very little training, partly due to covid, they cannot be bothered - very unprofessional. Every HR person told me they cried the first year of employment almost everyday- which is very telling to me. Training , if any was very rushed and a joke because no one has time. Antiquated systems that do not work together. Very paper driven in a digital age - behind the times. Filthy facility and extremely poor working conditions. High turnover due to bad culture and management doesn't care to change it. Tremendous workload for one HR person with no support, little training. Very unhappy staff and fast turn over. Lots of DRAMA with co-workers, and Leadership does what they want even if it is not inline with what the corporate standards are or in line with common decency or integrity. Extremely high stress demanding role with minimal training, poor leadership and high school behavior.

Pros

I've worked in healthcare for a while, and Arden Courts has been one of the most rewarding places I've worked. Memory care is definitely challenging at times, but it's also incredibly fulfilling to build relationships with residents and their families and see the impact you can make every day. One thing I really appreciate is that the work environment feels much more manageable than skilled nursing. It allows staff to spend more quality time with residents and focus on what really matters. The residents become like family, and the team genuinely cares about them. The company is also smaller than many large healthcare organizations, which I see as a positive. There is a clear structure, expectations are straightforward, and you don't feel like just another number. Leadership is accessible, and there is support when you need it. The benefits are excellent, and there are opportunities to learn and grow within the company. No workplace is perfect, but overall Arden Courts has been a great place to work, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in memory care.

Cons

Low tuition reimbursement, but they do have some!
