Our team does work fabulously together, thank you! We did have several complaints about the training program and that has been completely updated and changed. Everyone now states they have never worked anywhere that provided such an extensive level of training. Hence the open-door policy. I listen to all concerns. It is not realistic that changes can be made instantly, but I hear everything and things that make sense to the progression of the business are instituted. And yes, it is my role to make sure that I do things that benefit the company or the company cannot benefit employees. I take it very seriously that my team members have families to support and that is a huge responsibility to me. Are there changes in policies and procedures, you bet. When someone on the team finds a streamlined way to do something, or I learn about something that will help streamline, then we change it. Life changes. You change to grow in business or you die. Workers’ compensation is a tough field of business that requires dedication to being legally accurate in communication and documentation. It is not for everyone. As a nurse case manager for almost 30 years, I have always been considered direct, tough but fair, honest, ethical, professional, and been known to live and work with integrity.
