Pros

- Attractive office decor and space since new renovation. - A lot of attention to Facilities and internal events. - A nice Christmas Party, but used to be much better in previous years. - Dog-friendly, to an extend for those with seniority. Frowned upon if you're new! - Decent 30% off wholesale employee discount. - Offers benefits immediately, no probation period. - unless you're a contractor. - Great job opportunity for family members, inside referrals, best friends of mgrs or exec's. - At least one friendly face in every department, unlikely a manager or executive though. - Convenient office location in East Bay to food, stores, freeways, etc.

Cons

- Don't judge a company to work for by its marketing and collaborations. - Very slow hiring process. Took over 6 months to finally execute any kind of interview from their initial email interest. - Lazy recruitment - expect to be greeted by an Ariat executive/manager's daughter, son, niece, nephew, husband, wife, cousin, aunt, etc. - Disorganized HR dept - spends more time on office decorations than employee issues. - Turnover in many departments, including executive officers is high. - Priority and sense of urgency are lacking in most depts. Common attitude is "it will be there tomorrow." Short-handed and in vital, cross functional teams. - Promotions based on personality and relationship with mgrs/exec's, not for performance or achievements. - Don't expect credit where credit is due. - Performance and morale are mediocre due to poor management example and apathy; work ethic is lacking and if you excel or contradict the lazy culture, you'll be labeled an outcast. Advice is to be invisible to survive the first years.

Pros

Benefits are good Meet LOTS of new people

Cons

New Store Management is toxic. They used to care about the workplace environment but it now no one looks forward to coming to work. Management belittles the employees and doesn’t show any appreciation. Everyone is looking for other employment
