My time at this company was marked by great opportunities for growth and upskilling. The team was not only talented but highly collaborative, creating an environment that fostered innovation and teamwork. The focus was always on finding new and creative ways to solve complex problems, and every team member took full ownership of their responsibilities. The manager, particularly in the Three.js domain, was incredibly supportive, always recognizing and appreciating individual efforts, which created a truly nurturing and encouraging atmosphere. It was a fantastic place to grow both technically and personally.
Cons
Upper management from Arka often appears indecisive, leading to confusion in laying down strict processes and development cycles. Lack of a clear, consistent policy for the development cycle results in chaotic changes during late phases of development. Though the team follows sprints, tasks are often not locked for the duration of the sprint, which leads to shifting priorities and last-minute feature changes. Mismanagement of development cycles often leads to inefficient workflows and confusion during crucial development stages. this leads to delayed timelines and bug introduction for which ultimately developer is blamed. Alot of politics in the Arka Team, including pressure building, credit eating,blaming , showing down etc (not in The Solar Labs).
