Pros

1) It's a solid place to learn how to work cooperatively with other people. 2) They had a decent training program. 3) Some of the managers are great, motivational people. Perfect for management roles in any field. 4) Some of the employees are great people, and I still consider many of them friends. 5) If you're coming from another freight brokerage, it's probably the same here, so at least you know what to expect.

Cons

1) Logistics brokering in general is a miserable industry. Lots of stress, problems out of your control. 2) It's hard to get out of freight once you're in. The skills aren't really transferrable across industries. The sales aspect, maybe, but with such a short sales cycle there's not a lot out there to match it. And if sales isn't your thing then you should consider another industry. 3) Management treats salary discussions like negotiations with a carrier. You ask for a number (not too far from what you're already getting paid) and they reply with something in the middle. Stating some whack reason, even though all you receive from peers and management is good praise. 4) There is no accountability for high performers. The more freight you book, the more free you are to book freight irresponsibly and bounce loads without repercussions.

Pros

A very teeny tiny paycheck

Cons

The environment is very toxic. Micro Management at an epic level, I have never experienced such until this company. The People helpers (HR) do not care about you and denied several requests. I will be filling an ADA complaint against them.
