Pros

Will give someone with no experience a chance My direct manager was pretty solid Entry into the professional world Ages 21-30 great environment to make friends Free food Mondays and Fridays People who stick it out 4+ years will probably do well for themselves

Cons

Cares more about how many dials you make compare regardless of how well you are crushing your quota Quota is not really reasonable after month 8 by organic growth unless accounts are given to you by people who quit Overworked for account acquisition and operating the account. Focusing too much on one will keep you from hitting your sales goals in the other Most of my peers quit at a year or less Promotions don’t really grow any skills in your career, you’re doing the same tasks as day one on the floor “Promotion” criteria not realistic in a 2 year span in the current market Changed compensation which would have caused me to lose on almost half of my commission SLT response to being unhappy with their decisions was typically “you need to find your purpose and grind so things will be better in the future” 50 hour work weeks and weekend shift expectations Most employees I talked to afraid of being fired next Sales floor is a big cafeteria style of computers on a long table and you’re close enough to the person next to you to touch the person to your right and left Too many recurring meetings to talk about the same KPIs

Pros

Ability to earn commission, but it’s all on you. Ability to run your own book

Cons

Handed off accounts drive success of most reps, if you are on a newer team, it’s a lot harder to find success.
