Pros

The education and training used to be better, but it has been downgraded. The actual techniques they use in cut, color, and styling are good, but the quality and amount of training you receive before being expected to do clients is questionable. From the outside, this brand seemed to be all about education, but from the inside it just seems to be about money.

Cons

Labor, wage, and employee rights violations Unethical business practices Workplace bullying: Psychological abuse Verbal abuse Racism Sexism Sexual harassment Body shaming You can have it all working at Arrojo, while earning a hardly livable wage in New York City. If you want to work for the ‘Donald Trump’ of modern hairdressing, step right up.

Pros

When I decided to go back to teaching cosmetology, I wanted to work for the best. I have worked in other schools and the student were not prepared to work right out of school. At Arrojo, the students are extremely prepared for working in a salon environment right out of the gate. Aside from technical skills, Arrojo trains students in time management, client relations and health and safety precautions in a post Covid world.

Cons

More staff and team building allotment
