Pros
I took some time between leaving Artefact and the time of writing this review, and there are two areas that stand out; the work and the people.
The work is exciting and it is challenging whether you're a consultant or non-consultant, but even more, it provides you purpose. The Company preaches autonomy. But autonomy in and of itself isn't enough. At Artefact, all levels from the owners to staff will not only just give you autonomy to make suggestions, but are there throughout the process. Along the way, they will challenge you, and then they will support you and help ensure the best possible outcome. This creates an opportunity for growth, development and success. You can have an impact at any level, which provides you as an employee with Purpose.
Many companies talk about culture, and maybe put it into their motto, into their annual goals or maybe on their internal intranet. Or maybe they consider to be having a social event, team/company event or whatever. But almost a year after leaving Artefact, I still email and talk with the owners, have coffee or drinks with senior directors, and was even recently greeted with a hug by an associate who I ran into at a grocery store. At Artefact, you are more than just co-workers with others and more than just an employee with the owners. Its personal and its genuine at all levels of the company.
But overall, I can say that I am a better person for having worked at Artefact
Cons
Artefact has a flat heirarchy, so there are always struggles that will come with that .... but its still better than a large structured company.
