Pros
The benefits package is second to none among nonprofits. Great work/life balance. Phenomenal colleagues at the Directors and Managers levels. Travel perks.
Cons
The organization functions as a family business, not as a nonprofit. Leadership frequently hires and promotes family and close friends. There is no Human Resource department, and verbal abuse and bullying go on without any consequence. The organization employs BIPOC people only to tokenism them, and leadership frequently halts plans for doing staff training on diversity, equity, and inclusion. There is a substantial discrepancy between what men and women earn for similar jobs and responsibilities.
