      Pros

      Projects can be interesting, colleagues are typically great, good PTO policy.

      Cons

      Company has been struggling financially for the past couple years, multiple rounds of layoffs and many voluntary leavers. Generally paid lower than industry average at the moment.

      The exciting projects are why I joined Arup, glad you found the same. Yes, like many firms we’ve faced really challenging conditions. But overall we’ve grown at a modest rate – particularly in areas including energy, water, technology, building retrofit and transport. And we’re in good shape for the future. - Ant

      Pros

      Working at Arup was a great experience, surrounded by smart, motivated, and mission-driven peers.

      Cons

      This may have since improved, but at least previously, the America's region felt rather second-class compared to UK. Most/all senior leadership, even in the US, was British.

      great supervisor, lots of professional development opportunities

      Cons

      insane workload and expect you to be available for work 24/7. some teams are drowning and others have no resourcing. layoffs happen completely randomly and they lay off people who are 100 percent billable. profit share is bs and you get nothing as a junior member
