Pros

1. Best company for Freshers in terms of Salary, Scope, Learning. Highly paid for freshers. 2. Good company for Experienced. 3. Meritocracy. 4. Lot of scopes for multiple IBM products. 5. Work-life balance is good. 6. Work From Home can be availed when needed. 7. Personal growth is okay and not so good and not so bad. 8. Any new ideas will be respected and recognized when it gives the value to their business. 9. After acquisition of Avnet, lot of scopes are pitching outside IBM products.

Cons

1. No proper designation hierarchy. 2. Promotions are unstable and it can't be predicted for the right employees. 3. Due to meritocracy value, there will be lot of early leaders with 2-3 years who will be leading a team of 4-5 which consists of more experienced employees than them. 4. All the work is dependent on US and there is no Indian Sales Team to get more work.

Pros

I have worked at Ascendant for some time. I have a good relationship with many people including upper management. Consulting is a lifestyle decision. Many people want to be a consultant without having to travel which generally isn't possible unless the client is flexible. Sometimes I will be away from home for 3 weeks straight, sometimes I will be at home for 3 months straight. Sometimes I will be at a client for 3 days, sometimes I will be at a client for a year. It all varies as is the nature of consulting work. If you work hard, contribute, and help other consultants become better you will be recognized and rewarded.

Cons

Everything was mostly perfect until the Avnet acquisition. There is a lot more bureaucracy and annoying 'busy work' that you have to squeeze into your personal time. There have been a lot of organization changes and many great people have left.
