Pros
Thank you to the individual that posted the review on May 2, 2011. They made some very valid points. Assisted does provide our employees an opportunity to gain experience and in some cases a additional training. As such our salaries may not reflect what other companies may offer a fully skilled person. Assisted is an agency based business. Like any service business, some weeks have more work than others. That is why we cannot guaranatee work. Lastly, being an agency is different than a hospital or skilled nursing facility. Our positions are exclusively based on the needs of the accounts that we accept. If 75% of our business is for health care aids than that is what we hire. There is no need for advancement if the job and business never change. Additionally, medicare/medicaid is very specific about what they reimburse for either per hour or per visit. As this hasn't changed for several years our pay rate per hour/visit has remained the same. We have a large number of employees that have been with us more than 10 years. While this person talked about some real issues we don't think they fully understood the nature of the business and how an agency works. We thank them for the input as feedback is always important.
Cons
We are limited by what the State and Federal Governments will provide.
