Don't walk, run away from this company - Community Manager Associated Asset Management Employee Review

Pros

I haven't seen any yet

Cons

The constant negativity. The supervisors say they are always available to help you, but then don't respond to texts or emails. When they do respond it's always "don't do that", "you shouldn't have done that". You get direction from multiple people and it's different from one person to the next. You literally are damned if you do, damned if you don't. Upper management seems to lack experience dealing work subordinates. Unless you're a favorite good luck getting any help or attention. The worst management company I've ever worked for.

Pros

The ability to work from home

Cons

They tell you it’s a “family culture” but that’s a lie. They don’t know how to set boundaries, they do not protect or support their employees. Certain employees should have been fired a long time ago, including upper management. It’s one of the most toxic places I’ve ever worked, we are beyond over worked and underpaid. They do not care about the verbal abuse the community managers take from homeowners and/or boards. I personally have asked to be taken off of a community because of a meeting that went south and how badly I was verbally attacked by both the board and homeowner, yet I’m still on the community and I know I’m not the only one who has also asked to be taken off of a community. Certain rules only apply to certain people. The person in the highest position there should not be in the position she is in, she has no compassion for anyone that is actually reaching out to her for help. It’s just commented back with “I need to talk to my manager” The amount of turnover is insane. Yet I stead of asking the employees who are staying how they feel or what they can help with we are pushed with more communities with no increase in pay but double the work since they can’t keep anyone in the office to work. Interesting that Laura Ziff gives it a 3.1 yet I’ve never seen one email from that woman in her role.
