Pros

It is a wonderful place to begin a career in the field, as you will have a lot of exposure to many different aspects of working behavioral health. AID's Outpatient program has wonderful staff to work with that are very supportive to one another and flexibility in hours and scheduling. There is no micro-managing, which is also helpful. AID also has the ability for individuals looking to obtain licensure to get weekly supervision during work hours, free of charge.

Cons

Case loads are large for full-time employees (40-60 clients). Requirements from the state and various insurance companies are every changing and always increasing. Learning all of the responsibilities as a new staff is an often frustrating experience. Benefits and funding have decreased over time. Salaries are ok, but not great for the amount of work required.
