Pros

Work team has a family orientation while most of the employees in other departments are easy to work with. Appreciate the feeling that the team I work with always has each others' back. Week off between Christmas and New Years. Membership is a wonderful group of people to work for and with. Strong focus on training.

Cons

Significant number of people who like drama which doesn't need to be manufactured. It is a non-profit so the pay scale is competitive but no profit sharing.

Pros

If you are looking to gain experience and knowledge, AMT is a great place to start. You will immediately fall in love with the people who work there as they are all genuinely nice and welcoming. However, if you are looking for a clear direction for your career and growth opportunities, you will find it challenging to get this from most managers or upper management. Promotions are few and far between as well, you will need to constantly keep on top of your direct report for any action to happen. Nevertheless, there are some positive benefits that outweigh some of the negative aspects. Their culture is built on passion, pride, family, and fun; the work atmosphere is great; they have lots of fun staff bonding activities, and the industry and members of AMT are phenomenal to learn from and work with! You’ll love working here, just don’t overstay your welcome.

Cons

Upper management is very top-heavy when it comes to their staff organizational structure. This tends to lead to poor management when it comes to any direction for career growth or development. The key is to be proactive and keep in constant communication with your direct report regarding your personal goals/wants/needs/etc.
