Pros
- easy work - sociable work environment - hybrid (T/Th in office) - temporary - good work/life balance
Cons
- disorganized - supervision was a nightmare, fluctuated between yelling + micromanaging & “cool boss” - hours changed (9-6 switched to 8-5, then back to 9-6, then 11-8) - very warm office, & they wouldn’t let us turn on AC half the time - all summer SRTs (30+) packed into 2 small rooms - training was inconsistent & unhelpful - used the free version of Google Suite for the entire staff! Everything ran so slowly that we could barely get any work done during regular office hours - lunch breaks were all different, so we’d get people calling us during lunch - no wifi or phone reimbursement for at-home work - there were about 3 or 4 SRTs who would not stop making very bigoted jokes about lesbians and Black people. They had worked there previous summers as well, and nobody was really holding them accountable for creating a toxic environment
