Pros

Working remotely in Atlanta, Georgia.

Cons

The recruiter that I worked with lied and misled me. Specifically, he had me believe that I would be hired full-time within 3 months. Also, I lost over $5k by quitting my previous job and then had to wait 3 weeks for my laptop to be set up. This was poor communications on the recruiters part and I believe he was more concerned at sealing the deal with me before he went on his vacation with his girlfriend and left me hanging with no communications. I had to reach out to his counterpart who said because of his poor communication, she was going to give me 20 hours of pay for that week that would be coming out of her check. LOL...Really? You know darn well that money didn't come out of her check and I felt like she was just trying to cover for her colleague that she admitted screwed up. Then when I received a full-time offer, a week later it was rescinded, because they said there was something on my credit report that the Legal department said was a blocker in hiring me, which was a bunch of BS. I passed the background check with Aston Carter, but the company that I was working for had stricter guidelines. What was even more disappointing was when I reported this to the AC, the recruiter said this was not right and they were going to fight it. He never called me back after that and went ghost. There was a good ending to this story, because I quit and was hired with another company and even passed the background check. The big joke was that this recruiter said AC was the top recruiting firm in the USA, which is BS. I've worked for about 5 different contract companies (mostly Indian firms) and this by far was the worst contract experience I ever had. I highly recommend you RUN if you get a call from Aston Carter!!!

Pros

Aston Carter provided excellent opportunities for professional growth, career progression, and leadership development. I had the opportunity to work with some of the largest healthcare and insurance clients in the country, build strong client relationships, and lead high-performing teams. The company offers strong training, a collaborative culture, and a performance-driven environment where hard work is recognized and rewarded. I was fortunate to work alongside talented colleagues and supportive leaders who helped me grow both personally and professionally.

Cons

Like many staffing and recruiting organizations, the environment can be fast-paced and demanding, with a strong focus on metrics and performance goals. Work-life balance can be challenging during peak periods, and processes can sometimes vary between offices or leadership teams. However, these challenges also create opportunities for growth and development.
