Pros
The opportunity to grow is great if you take the right steps, the big steps, to support the store standards and sales. Taking initiative definitely shows management that you are invaluable and irreplaceable. With the work put in, promotion to full time (rare) after a year. Good starting pay compared to many other retail stores. Discount is very generous considering the prices. Flexible scheduling and requesting time off is easily negotiable. Everyone is a part of a great team and teamwork is very important day to day.
Cons
Pay raise is very small. Chances of being promoted to a higher position is rare (but possible). Management could be better in communicating with sales associates and following up with progress in workload. Too many products to push into a store, regardless of how big or small the storefront is.
