Pros

Has a good reputation with the community, offers special interest groups for therapists interested in improving their knowledge of treating endurance athletes, performing arts, and other groups. Benefits packages are good. The therapists make the company, I have enjoyed working with almost every therapist I have met and there is good camaraderie amongst therapists.

Cons

Athletico merged with another large company, Accelerated, and was recently purchased by an investor so management is becoming more impersonal and benefits such as continuing ed have been cut. My regional manager was impersonal, uninvolved at the clinic level, and had no interest in listening to therapists needs/goals. There is a lack of appreciation for employees and no chance to move up the ladder from staff PT unless you are interested in management. Expectation to double book, work Saturdays and meet rigid patients per week and cancellation rate goals.

Pros

Great hands on experience compared to other clinics. Heard that at other clinics, aides just clean and 'make the clinician's life easier' but at this location if youre willing to learn and take initiative, you can assist patients through their exercises under supervision of the licensed therapist

Cons

The only thing is the pay, but it's an entry level job so makes sense why.
