Pros
I was great friends with my team members but literally nothing else
Cons
UK management are an absolute toxic mess. They seem to be all under the spell of 1 or 2 individuals who are more interested in personal gain than the company as a whole or the teams they lead. Amongst other behaviours this is most clearly demonstrated by nepotism, as their family and friends are given senior positions, despite having no knowledge or experience of the role or industry, instead of those positions being even mentioned to long term members of staff. Other senior leaders micromanage to the point the job is completely unbearable. Horrendous pay for the level of responsibility. Expected to advise on things like Tax with no formal training or qualifications but are patronised and made to feel stupid if you get it wrong. Tax and Legal team often advises on routings but at the last minute change their mind leading to lost sales and management wonder why there's so much lost revenue. Turnover of staff is ridiculous for a company who markets themselves as being the industry leader. Relentlessly hypocritical take on company values where as an employee your expected to uphold them but management entirely disregard them. A carrot and stick approach to development - there is always a carrot dangling for the chance of a promotion, which is without fail always replaced with the stick, regardless of the stipulated targets being met and/or exceeded. Basically for anyone doing their due-diligence and researching Atlas as a potential employer, save yourself some therapy sessions and give your CV to literally any other agency.
