Thank you for taking the time to address your concerns.
Our program is designed to teach, develop, and train, and vet candidates into a management position working with the 2nd largest retailer in the world and the 4th largest company in the world within 4-6 months. We are not in the business of simply hiring "sales people". This is a management training paid internship with lots of bonus potential.
However, every manager should understand sales techniques and behaviors to better represent their brand and their products. This is a fundamental part of almost all management and marketing positions. In the beginning, we focus on teaching candidates this behavior. Some candidates find this to be extremely easy and fun, and some find it more challenging - hence the reason we have a "development program" in the first place.
I think we can all agree that cashiering may be difficult for some and easy for others. I could say the same thing for swimming, or speaking another language. My point, humbly speaking, is we understand everything will not come easy for some of our candidates. So, given that we all have different strengths and weaknesses, our goal is to promote our candidates' strengths, develop their weaknesses, and ultimately place them as the head of one of our open market territories.
As far as our training goes, we feel confident with the direction we have taken to move our company in the right direction. This does not mean we can't improve. I believe we can ALL improve. And in just 1.5 years, we have expanded 3 fold, been published on YAHOO!, MSN, and MARKETWIRE, in recognition for our achievements of growth and development and culture. This we are quite proud of.
