Pros

Honestly, I don't have anything good to say about this company.

Cons

Scheduling is an absolute mess and communication is poor. Studies, often requiring work far outside of standard business hours (depending on your role, from as early as 5 AM to as late as 10 PM), are generally not scheduled until a day or two in advance, and in just the few months I worked there, I saw multiple instances of study protocols being edited late in the evening the day before, or even the morning of, study start. I also had instances when studies were postponed or canceled, and I didn't find out until after I arrived, having come in early in the morning for no reason. I find such a chaotic approach incredibly inappropriate for the sensitive work being performed. A GLP lab should not be run like a fast-food restaurant.

Pros

There are many individuals that want the company to succeed and want the team to succeed. They believe in what they do and want to make a difference. Most have worked together for 15+years. Company is still in the "start up" phase, so there are hiccups. This is the second company the CEO has started, previous company was open 12+years and was very successful, grew to over 100 employees vs 10 in the start up phase. Company is still small which does allow for career growth but you need to put in the work, it's not given, which I personally appreciate.

Cons

Major precursor to most of these bad reviews is it is difficult to hire the right staff when you are starting to grow. Nature of the business makes it difficult for some to understand that scheduling is difficult. The late changes are not always due to company employees, it's due to the client requesting a late change. Communication can always improve-that's at every company.

Pros

Study directors are working remote and no on-site veterinarian for a vivarium of hundreds of animals. The CEO doesn't seem to care much about employees or animals. Love working with everyone here that isn't management. All of the technicians and supervisors care so much, but their bosses just want the $$$

Cons

Lack of respect for all of the years of experience
