Audley's lost something really good - Sales Operations Specialist Audley Travel Employee Review

Pros

Audley still has some of the best people around working for them. Depending on which team you're in, training is pretty thorough (although sales training could focus on the whole process not just the initial sales call.)

Cons

Asks for feedback and doesn't truly want it. Communications regularly poor and annoying despite years of feedback. Doesn't often promote people of colour above entry level rank of roles. Enforced a back to office policy (worse for women and neurodivergent staff) after hiring staff all over the country and at risk of losing some of it's most experienced and profitable staff. Pay is low compared to other travel companies for the amount of work anticipated. Some people seem to be promoted over and over despite being useless, while other people get consistently overlooked. Commission structure constantly messed with and all roles are encouraged to funnel into sales.

Pros

Great people, good benefits. Lots of training offered and FAMs are a great perk.

Cons

Company has gone through so many changes in leadership, along with a recent structural change to the overall sales and client experience that is largely negative. Company has met this downward spiral of false promises with “be more positive” emails and company meetings. Patronizing and insulting while expecting sales to continue to hit their goals or risk being terminated (like many have in the past few months).
