Toxic Culture, DO NOT recommend! - Junior Consultant Engineer Aurelius Enterprise Employee Review

Pros

- Opportunity to work on a complex codebase. - Opportunity to learn about a wrong culture and values. - 3 days in the office, 2 days at home. Those two days are determined by the manager, not you!

Cons

Bullying, belittling and blaming employees every single day by grumpy manager. - Lack of trust toward employees that they will do the job right. - Mocking employee's accent in front of everyone. - Forcing employees to read a 500 page book and set a deadline to do an exam, wasting company's time and energy in order to get certificates to show off to potential clients and earn more money, rather than caring about employees and support juniors to improve their coding skills(which is the most important skill they were hired for!) and the context about the company. - No sense of empathy and compassion towards people. - If you are a junior, first DO NOT get a job at this company and second you will be left alone figuring everything out on your own without any onboarding process. Pair programming is an alien word at Aurelius Enterprise! - The amount of managers' ego at Aurelius is so high that I do NOT recommend working with them to anyone; be it a client or an employee. ** Employees do not leave a job but bad managers **

Pros

- Blame culture - No leadership at all - Madhouse - They talk to you as if you were stupid - No free speech - Tense everyday - Horrible standups - They said that they are hybrid but they put all the meetings on the days that you are planning to work from home forcing you to go every day, saying that the meeting is really important to be at the office and you will go to the office and at the end, nobody is there just you. - Much of the task that you are doing doesn´t have any direct relationship with the role that you were hired for. - Three or even four people going to boss you, different directions for doing one thing, you will never go to know what are you doing because basically everything that you did is wrong and everyone will blame you for that every day. - When you want to take for work day from home, they will be constantly remembered that the days at home are just two, just to have an excuse to force you to go to the office every day. - If you try to speak up about what is happening in the situation they will adopt a defensive and start acting like 4-year-old children.

Cons

I've been thinking about it but for more than I think in the end, even the money doesn't worth it with this culture.
