      Pros

      There are some great employees at AST and sense of community. The field can get lonely but there are some amazing supervisors who are there to support YOU.

      Cons

      At times it can feel isolated as you spend much of your time doing DI sessions, but if you are apart of a great team, some of that can be alleviated.

      Flexibility. woman-led field. frequent pay raises. overtime opportunities.

      Cons

      Clinical director lives across the country so is not as easily accessible or truly aware of staff dynamics and issues. before AST was bought out by LEARN, they did 401K matching, that's no more. No more sick time off, it's all just lumped into your PTO. Issues with staff take too long to be resolved. Depending on the BCBA you get placed with, you'll either have lots of great support or none at all.
