Pros

There are no pros to working at Availity, unless you toe the corporate line at all times.

Cons

Availity Client Services is nothing more than a corporate meatgrinder. The attrition rate for new hires is insane. Even after "revamping" the new hire training, and offering a bonus for referrals, they can just not keep people working in this hell-hole. Supervisors are constantly being "promoted" because the former ones quit, or transfer as soon as possible. New hires are pressured to leave reviews after only a few months, giving Availity their fake "Great Place to work Certified!" rating which they will tout at every opportunity, while digging the mass graves for new hires. Management is laughably detached from reality. Every Friday you get an email from Russ, waxing poetic about the company while casually mentioning how his surf session went that morning, or some other example of distance between a CEO and the actual company worker. You are examined in every aspect of your job, regardless of whether you excel. You are constantly abused by Clients, and by the Company, for EVERYTHING. There is no upside to doing well, unless you are a robot. Changes are implemented on an almost daily, if not weekly, basis with no communication, testing, and/or seemingly any planning, and you are held responsible and expected to just deal with it. Truly a nightmare hellscape of a company. You are not valued. You are replaceable. Big Brother is watching.

Availity Response

Thank you for sharing your experience, even if it wasn't as positive as we'd like. While we are a growing and fast-paced company, we take associate training, advancement, and resource allocation very seriously—and are always looking for ways to improve. Our customers have high expectations for Availity, and we need to be as responsive as possible to issues they may be having. Client support isn't an easy job, but our support specialists are some of the best in the industry. We have always focused on helping associates succeed and have created a culture where we take feedback and criticism seriously. However, it does not sound like the experience you had, and we will commit to identifying areas where we may be falling short. Our annual engagement survey received great feedback from associates who enjoy reading Russ's Friday update emails. The responses include anecdotes such as "I love the Friday updates from Russ, and the organization does a great job of keeping us informed of what's going on in the bigger picture.", "Russ's Friday emails are one of the highlights of my Friday." and "I love reading the Friday emails from Russ. They are so motivating and encouraging, and I look forward to receiving them! #LoveFridayemailsfromRuss #Russisthebombdiggity" Our Great Place to Work™ certification comes from the same survey mentioned above that we conduct each fall. We're very proud of this designation, just as we are proud of the contributions our associates make to our culture of collaboration each day. Thank you again for taking the time to share your review. We wish you much success in your future endeavors.

Great culture and people. As long as you’re doing your job and producing, I have not run into any micromanaging etc. work life balance is awesome

Cons

Silo’s are common but getting better each day. That can happen with remote companies. Lots of new products and changes with new leadership etc so need to adapt
