Pros

Full remote and decent benefits

Cons

Work life balance is non-existent (even though the company claims work life balance is big to them). Upper management is detached from the ground level or just don’t seem to care, because there are people in senior management, that have seats at table due to friendships rather than contributions. In availity there is the concept of product owners and product line managers. Some product line managers and owners “chef kiss”, others make me wonder how the heck do they even stay in business. God forbid someone asks for requirements or priorities from the poorly higher product people. Most of the time you will be met with blanket stares, or engineering is asked for priorities, because the ones doing the work knows the priority.

We greatly value your feedback and appreciate the time you've taken to share your thoughts. Your insights are invaluable to us as we strive for continuous improvement. We are genuinely sorry to hear about your experience, as it does not align with the typical feedback we receive. At Availity, we place a high priority on maintaining a healthy work-life balance for our associates. We understand that this balance can sometimes be challenging to achieve. That's why we actively encourage any associate who feels overwhelmed to reach out to their manager or HR business partner. Together, they can develop action steps to help find that crucial balance. Availity's leadership team is deeply committed to our culture and our associates. They bring a wealth of experience, knowledge, and expertise to their roles. While their approaches may vary, they all aim to foster a culture of learning, innovation, respect, and accountability. They make tough business decisions daily, some of which may not always be popular. However, they also prioritize activities that foster transparency and engagement, such as hosting executive chats, mentoring junior associates, leading discussions on leadership and motivational books, and providing regular updates during our quarterly All Associate Meetings, where they welcome live Q&A from the entire company. This level of leadership transparency is a cornerstone of Availity's culture. We appreciate your comments and wish you much success in the future.

Pros

Great culture and people. As long as you’re doing your job and producing, I have not run into any micromanaging etc. work life balance is awesome

Cons

Silo’s are common but getting better each day. That can happen with remote companies. Lots of new products and changes with new leadership etc so need to adapt

Pros

Lots of chances for growth internally if you’re willing to grind and make connections. Most people are collaborative and generally the culture among individual contributors is good. Lots of good job perks. Fully WFH for most roles.

Cons

Compensation will almost always be below industry standard. Recent leadership changes are killing morale and the culture is definitely shifting. Lots of siloing and lack of transparency between teams.
