Pros

There was no positive point.

Cons

1. Bad Code Experience: The coding practices and standards followed at this company were subpar, to say the least. The codebase was riddled with inconsistencies, poorly documented functions, and an overall lack of structure. It was evident that the development team lacked the necessary expertise and attention to detail. 2. Language Barrier: During the scrum call discussions, it was extremely frustrating to witness conversations happening predominantly in Hindi or Marathi. 3. Blind Estimations: The company's approach to project estimation was unprofessional. Estimates were made without proper consideration, leading to unrealistic deadlines. 4. Strict 9 Working Hours: A strict 9-hour workday was extremely inflexible. It felt like being trapped in a robotic work environment with no room for work-life balance. 5. No Sandwich Leaves Allowed: One of the most irritating policy at this company was the complete absence of sandwich leaves. 6. Lack of Professionalism: The overall lack of professionalism within the company was deeply concerning. There was a noticeable absence of clear communication, respect for deadlines, and accountability among team members. This created an unproductive and chaotic work environment. 7. High Employee Turnover: During my time at this company, it was evident that there was a significant turnover of employees. Many talented individuals left the company, which speaks volumes about the dissatisfaction and unhappiness experienced by the staff. This constant turnover not only disrupts workflow but also raises serious concerns about the company's management and culture.

Thank you for your review. At Avegen, we firmly believe that work culture & work quality is a team effort. This is the reason we provide multiple opportunities for candidates to get to know us and for us to get to know the candidate including spending a day in our offices. We appreciate the time that you put in during recruitment. However despite best efforts from both parties, clearly there was a mis-match. We are glad that within 10 days of joining us we were able to identify that it wasn't a good fit and you decided to move on. We wish you all the very best in your professional endeavours. ps: You might also be happy to know that the team discussed your feedback in our town hall last week and are actioning on the elements that they agree with.
