It was a good company run by management that grew through the ranks and was hands on. Profits were made and work was secured through relationships that was build.
Cons
New management took over and they do not have the experience to run a construction/rebar company. All staff is demoralized and overworked as embarked on massive retrenchment drive leaving existing staff to cover for more than one role. They have also embarked on a centralized financial accounting drive and this is proven to be a huge mistake as contract based and they do not have the RIGHT PEOPLE ON THE BUS to drive this.
Great work environment with long serving employees with strong loyalty. Relaxed and laid back feel to the business with quick decision making and low levels of bureaucracy. Good transformation at executive levels.
Cons
Very traditional in approach and hence slow to adapt to changing market conditions. Diversity is a challenge with strong change making environment difficult particularly at junior levels. Outdated systems and disparate across business units.
