Cons
There are many mysteries in this world; how were the great pyramids of Giza built? What happened to Amelia Earhart? Most importantly, how did certain people become managers in this company? The level of incompetence, lack of managerial talent, and pure unqualification is revolting. If you work for this company, you will have “leaders” who fail distinguishably at providing any sort of help, rationale, logic, answers, or leadership skills. The worst part is that those in charge also have the biggest egos. Any attempt to correct or provide constructive criticism is shot down and turned back at you to make you feel crazy. But don’t worry, they read books like, “Diary of a CEO”, so they have to be good managers, right?
What’s even more surprising than the fact that certain people received promotions is that there were even promotion opportunities available in the first place! In my 2 years at this company, there was a total of 1 promotion opportunity. The best part is that this position didn’t even become anything, it just disappeared. Nobody was hired for it, they took it down, and there was no explanation given.
I can only speak for the inside B2B sales team when I say that this company is a complete mess. It always has been and it always will be, as long as the current regime remains.
There are never any clear answers, processes are not followed and change consistently, disorganization is rampant, detail recognition is non-existent, and there is a consistent feeling that managers have no idea what they're doing.
In my 2 years, I have seen massive layoffs, a doubling of workload paired with decreased commission, widespread turnover, multiple HR violations from managers, random firings, contract disputes, previous employees getting re-hired to higher positions, and so so so much more.
This post may come off as a rant and emotional but I can assure you that I have given more patience to this company than it has deserved. I did not get fired, there was no single event that sparked my departure, it is simply the result of working at this company for 2 years. I am ashamed of myself for taking so long to get out.
It is humiliating how much more money this company could make if its sales department was half competent. The crazy part is that this company is still growing, it just proves how amazing the product and marketing teams are.
Your co-workers are the best part of this job and are truly what make the sales team not only stay afloat, but be successful. To all the reps reading this, you are what brings value to this company and are more skilled, observant, and important than those above you.
I promise you, yes you, the desperate soul who is looking for a job. If you are looking for a sales position, run from this company. I know you’re unemployed and could really use an income but this is not worth it. Believe me.
